Light ‘Em Up! Broadway Butcher Offers Game Day Packs
The meat lovers at Broadway Butcher Shop, located at 3828 Broadway Blvd. in Kansas City, have your tailgating game covered. “Game Day” packages are offered in three different flavor schemes—chili, bacon-cheddar and Boulevard brats—and will be available throughout the football season. Additional flavor schemes, such as a meatball pack or a Philly steak pack, may also be debuting soon.
Each pack serves four to six people and features eight fully steamed brats, eight buns and disposable silverware, serving utensils and plates. The Chili Pack ($60) features chili-cheese brats, chili, corn chips, cheddar, sour cream and red onion. The Bacon-Cheddar Pack ($50) features bacon-cheddar brats, peppers, sautéed onions and pineapple. The Boulevard Brat Pack ($50) features Boulevard beer brats with red kraut and whole-grain mustard.
BRGR Heads South
BRGR Kitchen + Bar has opened its third location in southeast Johnson County. The concept opened in late September at 5031 W. 135th St. across from the recent Prairiefire development. Other locations include Prairie Village and the Power and Light District.
All of BRGR fan favorites plus some signature menu items, including fish and chips, build your own macaroni and cheese, and a variety of shakes will be featured. The chefs will continue partnering with local vendors, including Hatfield Signature Beef, Farm to Market Bread Co. and The Missing Ingredient.
Stout Week Lands at Flying Saucer
If you’re craving something dark and malty, the Flying Saucer’s annual Stout Week, November 7th through the 11th will satisfy. Each day of the that week features special releases from breweries across the nation, including Nebraska Brewing Company, Avery Brewing, Deschutes Brewing, Mother’s Brewing and Firestone Walker Brewing.
On the 9th, the Flying Saucer will collaborate with local vendor Katy Bird’s Sandlot Goods. Sandlot Goods will produce a custom glass available for sale at their shop in the Crossroads on November 4th. Those in possession of the glass on November 9th will be granted early pours of several hard-to-find variants of Deschutes’ Brewing Company’s The Abyss.
