Heirloom Bakery & Hearth Opens Saturday

Great news for your sweet tooth (and possibly not-so-great news for your diet): The much-anticipated grand opening of Heirloom Bakery & Hearth is finally happening this weekend.

Regulars of the Brookside Farmers Market will already be familiar with owners Kate and Scott Meinke, who have been tempting us with a selection of pies, cookies, scones, and even homemade pop-tarts and cheez-its since last season. In addition to their baked goods, which can be ordered to go or enjoyed on the premises with a cup of Thou Mayest coffee, Heirloom’s cozy Utilitarian Workshop-designed cafe will also serve a small selection of soups, salads and sandwiches made with locally sourced ingredients from Gibbs Road Farm, Green Dirt Farm, David’s Pasture, et al.

Heirloom, located at 63rd and Oak, across the street from J’Adore and Season + Square in East Brookside, will be open this Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
