Kansas City foodies, set your alarm clocks: Tickets for Green Dirt Farm’s farm table dinner series go on sale Wednesday at 9 a.m.

These highly anticipated events, where some of the city’s hottest chefs create special multi-course meals hosted in Green Dirt’s picturesque barn, always sell out quickly—and for good reason, as anyone who’s been to one will tell you.

This year’s featured chefs include Ted Habiger (Room 39), Martin Heuser (Affare), Alex Pope (Local Pig, Cleaver & Cork), Howard Hanna (The Rieger, Ca Va) and many more. See the full lineup and find the link to purchase tickets at greendirtfarm.com.

No tickets are required for this Sunday’s Slow Food KC event at new River Market pizzeria Il Lazzarone, but reservations are strongly encouraged. From 1-3 p.m., guests can pop in to meet Matt Trammell of Warrensburg, Missouri-based Trammell Treasures Mushroom Farms to learn how to grow and cook with your own mushrooms. You’ll also have a chance to sample some of Trammell’s fabulous fungi atop Chef Erik Borger’s scrumptious Neapolitan-style pizza. Entry is free for Slow Food KC members and $5 for everyone else.
