Here’s what’s happening in Kansas City Jan. 13-15

Friday

2017 Lemon Mixer

Presented by Tito’s Vodka, Friday’s Lemon Mixer benefits Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which raises money to fight childhood cancer. The event at Grand Street in Kansas City starts at 6:30 and ends at 9:30 p.m., with a VIP reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with Alex and Jamie Gordon. You’ll be able to sip on signature lemonade cocktails and feast on appetizers while you listen to live music from The Voice semifinalist Mary Sarah, all in the name of a good cause. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here.

KC Restaurant Week

Take a break from your juice cleanse to indulge in menu items from Kansas City’s top restaurants during KC Restaurant Week. Name a local restaurant, and it’s likely on the list of participating eateries. From Jan. 13-22, enjoy multi-course menus for lunch and dinner from barbecue joints, steakhouses, popular happy hour spots and seafood restaurants. Saturday

U.S. Figure Skating Championships

The 2017 U.S. Figure Skating Championships kick off Saturday in a ten-day event that takes place at Sprint Center and Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Sunday

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

If you’re brave enough to withstand the predicted winter storm headed to Kansas City this weekend, you won’t want to miss the Chiefs’ playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium.
