Friday

St. Patrick’s Day in Westport

Enjoy live entertainment, outdoor beer gardens and sidewalk cafes during and after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade begins at 11 a.m., but local businesses will be open beforehand to cater to customers. Patti LaBelle

Tickets are still available to see the one-and-only Patti LaBelle in concert at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The songstress will kick off the evening at 8 p.m. with her classic R&B and pop hits, from New Attitude to If You Asked Me To. To purchase tickets, click here.

Greater Kansas City Home Show

Whether you’re looking for design inspiration or just want to catch a glimpse of the Property Brothers in person, the Greater Kansas City Home Show offers a chance to meet local artisans, talk to experts and see the most current decorating trends. The event, which takes place at Bartle Hall, will feature HGTV’s Jonathan and Drew Scott as well as Ellen’s Design Challenge winner Karl Champley. Tickets are $7 to $55 and can be purchased here.

Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Starting at 2 p.m. at 63rd Street and Wornall Road, the 37th annual Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Parade promises to be a family-oriented event with bands, drill teams, Irish dancers and dogs of all shapes and sizes on display. For a map of the parade route, click here.
