Founded in 1931, the Kansas City Rose Society, in partnership with Kansas City Parks & Recreation Department, established the Laura Conyers Smith Municipal Rose Garden in Loose Park. The KCRS is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation devoted to raising funds critical to providing the care and maintenance which will allow this KC treasure to thrive for future generations and continue to enrich the lives of area residents for years to come. This nationally recognized garden is open year round and is free for the community to enjoy.
