Here’s what’s happening in Kansas City July 8-10

This weekend’s events include plenty of options for family and adult fun.

Friday

Browse through items from some of Brookside’s most popular local stores, from Worlds Window, The New Dime Store and Shop Girls to Brookside Barkery & Bath, STUFF and 5B & C. The sale takes place at 63rd Street and Wornall Road and continues through Sunday.

WeekEnder at Crown Center

Snack on food from some of Kansas City’s best food trucks, shop items from local vendors, and listen to Drew Six perform before settling down on the lawn for a screening of “The Goonies.” Food and shopping starts at 6 p.m. and the movie begins around 9 p.m. Admission to Crown Center is free for all.

Saturday

Sprint Family Fun Days

Bring the whole family to Sprint’s Family Fun Days in the Power & Light District from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free for kids and adults, and this day’s theme is “Bubbles and Beach Balls.” Kids can play on the Bahama Bounce, slides or moonwalks or take part in crafts and get their faces painted. The event takes place on 14th Street between Main and Walnut Streets.

Summer White Party

“When in Rome,” make sure you wear white. That’s the theme behind this year’s Summer White Party at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Celebrate the museum’s latest exhibit, Luxury: Treasures of the Roman Empire, in all-white attire starting at 8 p.m. The Roman-themed event includes food, drinks and live entertainment in the Bloch Lobby and outdoors in the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park. Tickets are $80 per person and can be purchased here.

Sunday
