Here’s what’s happening in Kansas City April 7-9
Food Truck Friday
Take a stroll around the Crossroads Arts District for First Friday, then stop by The Star’s Food Truck Friday event at 1729 Grand Blvd., where you’ll be able to choose from local trucks such as Bluemoose, Beauty of the Bistro, Wilma’s, Coffee Cake KC, Monk’s Roast Beef and more. Harvesters will also be on hand to take monetary or non-perishable food donations.
Kansas City Film Fest
The 20th annual event features more than 100 local, regional, national and international films from second-graders to professionals. Saturday’s schedule begins at 9 a.m. with a panel about women making movies, and continues until 10:20 p.m. with a showing of the film Prodigy. The Easter Bunny at Crown Center
If your little ones still haven’t had the chance to meet the Easter Bunny, head to Crown Center from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, where a professional photographer will be available to snap pictures. The Easter Bunny will be located in the Level 1 Atrium, and parents are welcome to bring their own cameras.
Passport to India
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, enjoy the dance, music, art and culture of South Asia. Kids and adults alike and take part in hands-on activities and henna design demonstrations while they listen to live music and sample food inspired by Indian cuisine.
