The inspiration for the dining room can be found in the monochromatic color scheme of the garden trellis wallpaper. This was the springboard for the updated finishes on the 17th-18th- and 19th-century French antiques, including a Provence secretary. Gone are the dark woods and heaviness, and in are the weathered grays that highlight the carving. The fabrics are all about texture, from the softness of the mohair on the dining chairs to the richness of the silk and the pop of color of the tablecloth. It’s topped off with dramatic French chandelier that would make Louis XIV jealous!
